I’ve added a Links Section to FTJ which should be pretty cool. It operates basically the same as most social bookmarking sites without some of the bells and whistles… for the time being at least.
I may add:
- the ability to make comments on links
- list of top contributors based on score
- a bookmarking feature
Anyway… it’s another user-generated content section of the site, so it will ultimately be what YOU (the members) make of it.

This is an excellent feature.
There is no longer anything that anyone but completely new people haven’t seen. And there certainly isn’t any content worth a damn anymore. That’s why, dare I say it, Web 2.0 is focusing on web-based apps and not the content itself. The only sites I’m really going to on a regular basis are ones that I’ve been going to, you guessed it, for the same 10 years since they heyday of the web happened.
As far as what might be useful to add instead of something like this? Fuck if I know. The point is, this stuff adds confusion, not value. Most people don’t even know how to use the cam chat yet, and I’ve been running that since January. This is simply going to become another groups feature. Not used, or generally abused, and doomed to obscurity. FTJ is: Forums. Forums with the feature of being able to check someone’s profile to see what they look like.
